Recent funders

Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Arts Service

The Arts Service has given a grant for the Metronomes Memories, an oral history project involving members of the band, and our extended family in North Kensington. The project will be available on this website during the summer.

 

Westway Trust

More than a funder, during the pandemic Westway Trust have provided Metronomes with advice and support on a range of issues. Emergency funding enabled us to continue to support our community.

The Arts Council

Metronomes received a grant from the Arts Council’s Emergency Response Fund, enabling us to continue to run our Virtual Panyard, and to create new resources to develop a digital future for steelpan music.

The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation

The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation gave grant from Green Shoots, a fund set up after the Grenfell Tower fire for projects designed to bring hope and joy to the North Kensington community. We put on an Easter live-streamed performance on Instagram and a performance to announce the reopening of our Panyard.
